Dog Friendly
Woodruff welcomes sociable, house trained dogs and their carers. There is a fenced deck with kennel and fencing along the road side of the grounds while the rest of the grounds are bordered by bush. The deck allows dogs to watch the wombat in a safe environment of an evening.
Dogs are allowed inside the cottages but not in the bedroom.
We charge $5 extra per dog per night or $20 per week.
Vaccinations:
The health and safety of our guests and their dogs is very important to us, so we request each visiting dog be wormed and on flea and tick treatment.
We also recommend that dogs be vaccinated against parvo (which can be fatal to young dogs) as it can be contracted from public places such as parks. We request these things to keep our property free from worms, parvo and fleas.
Please check your dog/s for ticks during your stay and again after you return home.
What to bring:
1. Dog lead
2. A dog water bowl and plate for each dog
3. Dog food
4. Dog bed, bedding, blanket for cold nights & some old towels for wet dogs.
5. Toys, ball, kong etc. for playtime
6. Some plastic bags to clean up your doggy doo’s.
Sleeping arrangements:
Dogs may sleep inside the house on their OWN bed (but not on lounge or bed provided for humans). The kennel is always inviting with its great smell from all the visiting dogs.
House Rules for the dog carers/owners:
1. Please do not allow your dog/s to enter the bedroom/s (for health reasons and other allergic guests);
2. Please do not allow your dog/s to sit on the lounge, furniture or beds;
3. Please do not leave your dog/s inside the cottage when you go out;
4. Please do not leave your dog/s alone at the cottage for hours on end – especially if it’s a puppy (under 2 years old) as they may suffer separation anxiety in a new location. This could result in them scratching at doors, chewing furniture, or trying to escape. We regret to advise that any damage caused by pets requiring an item to be replaced, repaired, or professionally cleaned, will need to be paid for by the owners. Damage to the cabin is not included in the tariff.
Cesune Park Pet Boarding Kennels ( 02 6492 7174 or 0428 842 923 ) have opened on Warrigal Range Road Brogo.
They can provide overnight or day crèche for your dog/s. For example, you may wish to spend a day visiting a National Park where dogs are not allowed.
